KHADI COTTON

The word KHADI is the SANSKRIT translation of Cotton. Now it means any cloth hand spun and hand woven in cotton, silk and wool.

ANCIENT INDIAN TEXTILE KNOWLEDGE

KHADI’S earliest form was evolved in India, the original home of cotton, some 5000 years ago. The ancient Indian textile knowledge was very unique and spelled its glory and charisma the world over. The exquisite finish and quality of Indian hand spun and hand woven cloth was widely appreciated from the very ancient times.
LEGACY OF KHADI

Khadi is an exclusive Indian textile, purely hand spun and hand woven from genuine natural cotton using the traditional and manually operated ‘CHARKA’, the spinning wheel. The loom used in weaving of Khadi interlaces the threads in a manner that allows maximum air permeable and sooths the body better than any other fabrics does. No wonder Khadi is acknowledged as an all weather cloth and most comfortable garment ever made.
